Measuring Temperature

The only way to know for sure that it’s done.

Chicken being checked with a thermometer

Using a thermometer

Looking at the juices of a chicken is no way to tell when its finished cooking. Checking the color of the chicken is equally unreliable.

We recommend using a thermometer to check for the right temperature, and recommend a digital thermometer for accuracy and legibility. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the meat, away from the bone.
